Can the Seeker XDU detect Chlorate based compounds such
as Sodium Chlorate and Potassium Chlorate?
YES. The Seeker XDU now has a complete library including
all 5 groups of explosive compounds. (Nitroaromatics, Nitramines
and Nitrate Esthers, Inorganic Nitrates, Chlorates, Peroxides)
Can the Seeker XDU detect Peroxide based compounds such
as TATP and HMTD?
YES. The Seeker XDU detects peroxide based explosives including
TATP and HMTD.
Can the Seeker XDU detect a all listed explosives in one
simple test?
YES. The full library of explosives can be tested in one simple
test. There is no need for multiple test like other
colorimetric kits.
Can the Seeker XDU detect explosive similar to those
used by Timothy McVeigh in the Oklahoma City bombings in
1995?
YES. The bomb used in the Oklahoma City bombing was made
of several components. 5400 lbs of Ammonium Nitrate
fertilizer made up the bulk of the bomb. The Seeker XDU can
detect trace levels of both ammonium nitrate and urea nitrate.
Could the Seeker XDU have helped identify the suspicious
packages in question that were recently shipped from
Yemen?
YES. The swipe cards can be used to detect explosives in
packages by swiping the handles, zippers and taped area's for trace
explosive detection.
Would the Seeker XDU have been able to detect PETN which
was used in the packages coming out of Yemen as well as the
Christmas 2009 underwear bomber?
YES. The Seeker XDU does detect PETN and it is listed as a Group
2 Explosive.
Is the Seeker XDU susceptible to environmental
background conditions such as temperature and
humidity?
NO. The Seeker XDU is environmentally agnostic and
operates under the harshest of environments.
Does the Seeker XDU detect both bulk and trace levels of
explosives?
Yes, the Seeker XDU detects bulk as well as down to 50 nanograms
of trace level explosives.

occurs?
There is NO bake-out time required after a positive test occurs
with the Seeker XDU it is ready for the next test immediately.

Over 100 tests have been performed consistently on one full
battery charge.
