Seeker CDU220 Image Seeker CDU™ 220
The award-winning Seeker CDU™ 220 is a multi-purpose handheld detection system. A single Seeker provides capabilities for the detection and identification of trace explosives, drugs & narcotics, biological agents, and industrial chemicals. The Seeker also includes data storage and a computer interface for downloading and archiving test results and data directly to your PC.
The Seeker CDU™'s test capabilities are expanded through the use of swipe cards, as described below. Switching between explosives mode and narcotics mode requires no recalibration or modification to the device itself. Simply swipe with the appropriate card, scan the bar code, and the device will handle the rest.
More information on the Seeker CDU™ 220 is available here.

Seeker SK1000
The Seeker SK1000 has been discontinued and is no longer available. The SK1000 has been replaced with a newer, more flexible unit - the Seeker CDU 220. For a complete list of upgrades and changes included in the Seeker CDU™ 220, please contact a company representative.

DetectaChem Swipe Cards
The swipe card is the key to the flexibility of the Seeker. Each swipe card contains within it the colorimetric chemistries required for detecting a variety of substances. Presently, there are three different types of swipe cards available: General Explosives, Homemade Explosives, and Narcotics.

DetectaChem swipe cards are designed for one-time use, and each card is marked with a unique serial number for associating it uniquely with the test results.

To use a swipe card, wipe the contact pad of the card along the surface under test. Next, read the scan the card's barcode with the Seeker's barcode reader. Finally, insert the card into the Seeker and begin the test.  Once inserted, everything is automated and handled by the device. Results will be ready in about one minute (depending on the test) and will be displayed on the screen of the Seeker.
After the test is complete, the user can write notes on the card, bag the card for future examination, or dispose of the card.

Custom swipe cards can be designed by DetectaChem's scientists to determine the presence of a wide range of substances - from
foodborne pathogens or biological agents, to industrial chemicals or benign substances. To see the current list of detection capabilities, continue on to the technical specifications page.
